Assabet After Dark FAQs

Enter through the main entrance of the school and look for Student Guides or the Assabet After Dark easel for instructions. Your instructor will meet you and guide you to class. Plan to arrive 10 minutes before class starts.

If you arrive late please come to the Assabet After Dark office now located in our main lobby.

Occasionally due to unforeseen circumstances Assabet After Dark must cancel a class. Cancelled classes are made up (same day of week and time) by extending the finish date of the course, unless other arrangements are made between the instructor and the class and approved by the director. When day school is cancelled due to snow conditions or other weather or emergency events, evening classes are also cancelled.

Look for the Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School cancellation notice on the stations listed below or on our website. In the event day classes are not cancelled and the weather worsens, if a decision to cancel evening classes is made, it will be relayed to the following television stations by 4:00 PM (if evening classes are going to be held as usual, there will be no notice): WBZ-TV, WCVB-TV, FOX 25-TV.

If the Assabet Valley School District cancels all weekend activities due to inclement weather, the cancellation will be broadcast on TV. However, if the Assabet Valley School District does not cancel weekend activities, your instructor may still decide to cancel class. If class is cancelled, your instructor will notify you via email and the course will be extended one week.
