7 Real Estate & Construction Real Estate & Construction Construction Supervisor Unrestricted License Exam Prep Registration Deadline: Wednesday, February 20, 2019 in order for you to have your textbooks and study materials on the first night of class. Only a person licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Building Regulations and Standards may supervise the construction and renovation of all one and two family dwellings and all buildings containing less than 35,000 cubic feet of enclosed space. Get prepared for your Massachusetts Construction Supervisors unrestricted license exam. A significant amount of time must be devoted to comprehend the method of preparedness to familiarize yourself with the building code materials. You will be able to retain the process of the system in order to find the answers to the test questions that will be presented. A score of 70% is required to successfully pass the state exam. It is recommended that you are pre-approved by the state testing agency prior to the class, however, this not a requirement. As long as there is a demand for housing, there will be a need for qualified Home Inspectors. Who should consider getting a Massachusetts Home Inspector License?  You, if you are hoping to open your own business, and especially if you have a Building Construction Supervisor’s License or a license in one of the building trades (electricians, plumbers or builders). You will learn about inspection standards and the basics of conducting a home inspection; how to carry out interior, exterior, and structural inspections; how to analyze heating, plumbing, and electrical systems; and how to market your services and open your own business, all taught by a Massachusetts Approved Provider. To become a licensed Massachusetts Associate Home Inspector, you must complete a 75 hour course from an approved provider; pass the National Home Inspectors Exam (NHIE); and complete 25 supervised home inspections. Completion of this course will qualify students to sit for the Massachusetts Real Estate Salesperson’s Test. Verification of completion will be provided to you in the Candidate Guidebook, which also provides all information on how to make an appointment to take the salesperson’s exam.
